In what has been a partnership of over 50 years, Werner Enterprises recently commissioned a special Freightliner 122SD to commemorate such longstanding success. Freightliner built a 2017 122SD, complete with 505HP DD15 engine. The commemorative semi truck also features engraved chrome stacks and anniversary decaling.

“We are proud of our long partnership with Werner, and were excited to collaborate with them to build this special truck,” said Steve Mignardi, director of National Accounts for Daimler Trucks North America. “Congratulations to Werner on this milestone achievement.”

Freightliner and Werner began their relationship in 1966. Werner Enterprises purchased their first Freightliner truck — the makings of a fleet that would grow into what is now a 7300 semi truck force. Werner is also a global leader in supply chains, helping companies everywhere transport goods and supplies.

“It is truly remarkable what C.L. Werner has accomplished with our company in 60 years,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Derek Leathers. “It is through relationships like the one we have with Freightliner Trucks that our company has grown from one man and one truck to become the industry leader it is today.”
